    With only a few machines to work with in 1972, Read reinvested it's profits and slowly acquired a sizable fleet.  Today Read Excavating owns and operates an impressive fleet of late model equipment to expedite progress on any size job.  With over 100 pieces of earthmoving and support equipment we are capable of tackling any size project.

         We realize, however, that a piece of equipment isn't worth much if it is not operable.  Read implements an extensive Preventive Maintenance Program that results in utilization of all of our equipment - that means no tolerance for down time.  If a machine does have a mechanical failure, it is repaired immediately in an effort to achieve 100% equipment operation.  We take pride in our equipment, and that pride goes a long way towards preserving machine durability, operator pride, job-site production, and cost effective pricing.
